Nutana is Saskatoon's oldest neighbourhood, built on the east bank of the river under mature elms, with early-1900s homes and Broadway Avenue's shops and restaurants running through the middle of it. That combination of history and walkable amenities is what draws a family away from a newer subdivision.
The cost of that history is the mechanical side of the house. A furnace, wiring or plumbing original to a hundred-year-old home shows up on a home inspection, typically $400 to $600, and a buyer relocating into Nutana should budget for that before falling for the architecture.
