What property tax exemption does a Saskatoon veteran qualify for in University Heights?

None tied specifically to service. A University Heights homeowner who is a veteran is assessed and taxed the same way as any neighbour on the street, since the City of Saskatoon bases municipal tax relief on property use and assessment class, not on whether the owner served in the military.

University Heights is a newer east-side family neighbourhood near Willowgrove, and its properties assess the same way as any other Saskatoon home, an assessed value set at 80 percent of value under provincial rules, multiplied by the current mill rate, with no separate veteran category built into that calculation.

Any University Heights homeowner, veteran or not, can appeal the assessed value itself to the Board of Revision within 30 days of the notice date if it looks out of line with comparable neighbourhood sales, but that is a general remedy, not a status-based exemption.

Broader veteran support in Canada runs through Veterans Affairs Canada rather than through a municipal property tax notice. Get your hand-reviewed valuation from Joel Dyck.
