Winter thins the buyer pool, but the buyers who remain are usually motivated by a job relocation, a growing family or a closing deadline of their own, and a motivated buyer often moves faster to an accepted offer than a larger but more casual spring crowd.
The practical downside is showing conditions: shorter daylight, snow-covered exteriors and cold driveways make first impressions harder to control, so winter sellers need to lean more on interior staging and good photography to compensate for what the yard cannot show right now.
