Is Westmount a good place to live?

Westmount suits a buyer who wants an older, established west-side neighbourhood close to downtown and the airport at a lower price than a more central address, based on the housing age data the City of Saskatoon tracks by neighbourhood. It is a practical, location-driven choice rather than a showpiece one.

Because the housing stock is older, mechanical systems, roofing and windows are more likely to need attention than in a newer suburb, and a buyer should budget for that against the Saskatchewan REALTORS Association's citywide benchmark of $444,700 rather than assuming a lower price means nothing needs work.

For someone who values a short drive downtown over new construction, Westmount is a strong fit, though a buyer wanting the newest possible floor plan should look toward one of the city's newer suburbs instead.
