Homes.com is a national listing portal, and its agent-facing product is a paid lead-generation service layered on top of the public listing search, so placement in an agents list reflects marketing spend and profile completeness more than local track record. That is a legitimate business model, but it is advertising, not a scorecard.
The giveaway is usually the criteria, or the lack of any published criteria at all: a genuine ranking states its methodology, such as trailing 12-month closed sales, while a directory list typically just states who is featured with no explanation of why those agents and not others.
Treat a Homes.com list the way you would treat any sponsored placement: useful for finding names to research further, not evidence of who actually sells houses well in Saskatoon. Get your hand-reviewed valuation from Joel Dyck.
