Test the route at the actual departure time you would use, not midday, since the Broadway, University, Idylwyld and Circle Drive bridges behave very differently during peak periods than they do off-peak. A neighbourhood that looks close on a map can still add real time if it funnels through a busy crossing.
Consider whether Circle Drive gets you most of the way there, since neighbourhoods with easy ring-road access, like Stonebridge or Silverspring, can outperform a shorter but more congested inner-city route.
