How do I appeal my property taxes in Martensville, near Saskatoon?

Martensville is its own municipality, not a Saskatoon neighbourhood, so City of Saskatoon rules and the Saskatoon Board of Revision do not apply. Martensville sets its own assessment and hears appeals through its own Board of Revision, on its own mill rate and its own deadline.

The process mirrors Saskatoon's in structure: a written complaint filed before the deadline on the Martensville notice, arguing a wrong assessed value or an error in the property record, decided on 3 to 4 comparable sales rather than opinion.

The comparables have to come from Martensville itself, not from Saskatoon. Saskatchewan REALTORS Association figures published for Saskatoon describe the city, and using them to argue a Martensville assessment is comparing the wrong market to the wrong bill.

A buyer or seller moving between the two markets should treat them as genuinely separate systems, not one with a different address. Get your hand-reviewed valuation from Joel Dyck.
